Care Groups

It is your first year away from college and now you are living on your own. After a while, you start to realize how much of a blessing your family was to you. That is what College Care Groups are, a home-away-from-home. They are hosted by couples in our church (Living Faith Fellowship) who are excited to get to know you. Granted, they can never replace your parents and siblings, but they can help you through those lonley times when you just need to be away from campus and in a homey atmosphere. College Care leaders are here for you when you need them and are willing to help you in any way possible.

At the Care Group meetings, you can also meet some pretty cool people, have tons of fun, and feel like part of a family. Care groups are a great opportunity to get to know people in the church and in the universities. Making new friends opens new perspectives; it is such a blessing to be able to have different perspectives on issues like relationships, food, speech, etc. Being in a Care group can give you different perspectives, but also can give you the freedom to ask questions that you might not feel comfortable asking a friend. The leaders enjoy hearing your questions and answering them as best they can.

If you are looking for a temporary home while you are at college, Care groups are a good start. There are some couples that would love to get to know you and make you part of their family in Christ.
