Retreat Info

Hey Everyone! The JCD Retreat is almost here! We have just 3 1/2 weeks until the Retreat! The summer has gone by very quickly. The JCD Retreat will be August 15 and 16 and will be held at the Snake River Rendezvous this year! I just have some quick things to remind you of that you need to know before the JCD Retreat.

The cost this year is $75 ($100 for first-year JCDs to cover the cost of your JCD shirt). We will meet at the Worship Center lobby at 1pm on Friday, the 15th. Please eat your lunch before you come because dinner will not be until later that evening.

There are some items you all will need to bring : ) Please bring:

  1. A sleeping bag & pillow, or other warm bedding
  2. Overnight items (shampoo, toothbrush, etc)
  3. Bible & spiritual notebook or journal
  4. Your school/work schedule for the Fall
  5. The JCD books you read this summer (Spiritual Discipleship or Spiritual Leadership and One Thing You Can’t Do In Heaven)
  6. Any JCD homework that you have not yet turned in to your grader. All of the homework is due BEFORE YOU LEAVE for the Retreat. It would be sad to be left behind because your homework was not completed.
  7. Cash or check for your amount due (If you do not know, ask me)
  8. Warm clothes and insect repellent for outside worship
  9. Bath towel, shower shoes, and modest PJs
  10. For the Retreat there is not a dress code but when you pack please remember that this is a leadership retreat and it is nice to dress appropriately. Please wear clothes that you will be comfortable doing some outdoor team-building exercises in, but are nicer than everyday hangout clothes. If you have any questions about what may be appropriate to wear, please ask any of the campus staff. We are going to have an amazing time and don’t want wardrobe to be a distraction or hindrance for anyone! : )
  11. Any last MIRROR I lessons you have not turned in, if you were taking it over the summer. MIRROR I must also be completed before you can attend the Retreat.

This will be an amazing opportunity to be built together and receive invaluable spiritual impartation. Please come prepared to receive! As we prepare to meet God, He will be faithful to meet us!

Also, campus outreach begins Monday after the Retreat during the week of move-in. Please plan to be in Moscow/Pullman the week after the Retreat to help out in our outreach efforts. If you can’t move into your living place that early, please let me know and we can find a place for you to stay.

God bless you all as you prepare. We are so close to the harvest!
Sara Graham
