Church

Hebrews 10:24-25
[24] And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, [25] not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

At CCF, our desire isn’t to take you away from involvement in local church. It is to inspire it; here’s why.

Maintaining our integrity as strong Christians in the face of the pressures, hardships, and temptations of life can be a daunting challenge. College life in particular is no walk in the park! There are pressures coming from things such as homework, tests, packed schedules, activities, friends, grades, jobs, and finances, to name a few. There are also numerous temptations that can distract us (or worse!) from our walk with God, including goofing off, procrastination, peer pressure, lust, independence, acceptance, abuse of alcohol, partying, and unbiblical teachings and ideas. Though we each have to make our own choice to follow hard after God, in the face of these obstacles it would be wise to have as much help as we can get!

We at CCF believe there is no better place other than Jesus Himself to go to for help than His Church (Ephesians 4:11-16). In fact, if you check out our history section, you’ll see that CCF itself was founded by a local church, Living Faith Fellowship, who still supports us as a ministry to this day. That is we we believe having a solid local church you can call a home away from home is vital to a healthy Christian walk in college. We’re talking about a church where the scriptures and the Gospel are preached, taught, and obeyed; where you can worship God with abandon. A place where you can find caring and trustworthy people to encourage you, support you, and tell you the honest and hard truth when you need to hear it. A community that understands and lives by God’s grace, where you can grow in God and find good influences to be your friends. A church with a faithful ministry you can trust with your support and join in with enthusiasm, and don’t have to think twice about inviting other people to.
